I don’t want to write about this too much as it wasn’t my project. But we did do a session on queering the genitals and it does stand out as one of the most engaging and somewhat endearing experiences we engaged in.

Basically, what if you could alter your genes in real time using gene altering technology? Would you do it? How could this work for trans people or non binary people? It could be revolutionary. try to think being designer vaginas, it would be nothing so pedestrian. We are talking fully customised genitals of all shapes, sizes, colours and flavours ( yes you read that correctly, flavours). I will attach some photos so you can get an idea.

Some of the participants asserted that they found the session really healing. For me, it gave me a better understanding of how limited we are in our thinking, we are the opposite of possibilistic we are positively impossibilistic. I started trying to think of how this could factor in to how we teach people about sex and the body and from there I started to form some of the fundamental ideas of the queer curriculum.
